In many situations, you will deal with very few “physical” interfaces but rather split a physical interface with vlans.
It would be great to be able to configure per subnet QoS through MaaS for deployed machines with thyings like tc but in a simple manner rather than having to apply such configuration after deployment by hand or though things like Salt, Ansible, …
Something like, in the network tab of a machine, saying that you allocate a minimum of 50% of the bandwidth to one subnet and all the other are doing “best effort” for the remaining 50% for example.
Or set a percentage for each subnet (say vlan1 = 30%, vlan2 = 20% and vlan3 = 50%).
Would be really great.
