there should be a force option to clean up dead nodes.
Thanks for the feedback; I agree that this might be a good idea. Can you file a bug on this behavior, and include any relevant error messages and/or tracebacks (from /var/log/maas/regiond.log)? Also, what state was the node in when you attempted to delete it?
