Where is CentOS 8 ?

Hi,

I see in the documentation that CentOS 8 should be part of the available images provided by MaaS (https://maas.io/docs/images) but in my setup, I only see Ubuntu images from 12.04 to 20.10 and Centos 6 and 7 but no 8.
Any reason for that ?
I’m running MaaS 2.8.2 (8577-g.a3e674063).

Regards.

We are working on adding CentOS 8 to our publicly available images. For now you must build them yourself. We’ve released a Packer template to build a custom CentOS 8 image. We’ll be using the same one for building the publicly released images.

Currently CentOS 8 it’s supported but not provied by maas image repo.

If you need a CentOS 8 image, you can follow this tutorial of Stefan Kemnitz

NOTE: If you use UEFI, in addition to installing cloud-init, you will need grub2-efi-x64 grub2-efi-x64-module grub2-efi-modules shim
