It might be worth adding a note that, adding static routes to subnets will only apply to machines deployed in that subnet, it will not apply to any already deployed machines.

I understand that this is already known.
When a machine is deployed, his configuration is freeze. Maas will never comunicate again with the machine and update settings.

Hi Adolfo, do you know where that is described in the documentation? It may be implicit, but I am trying to make it more explicit. @billwear - I think little hints or references back to the “theory of operation” idea where things like this are clearly spelt out, would help many readers.

What about other devices on that subnet, ones that are not maintained by MAAS, like a switch? Will they get the static routing information when updated when they renew their DHCP lease?
