We would really like to be informed of bug fix releases prior to release, with a link to the changes, so we can prepare for any possible disruptions to our production environments. We have environments still running 3.3 and 3.4. We have overrides to a number of files that may get reset or no longer properly apply when bug fixes change code, breaking our systems.
There are no release note entries for 3.3 past 3.3.9. Our environment received 3.3.11 this morning. What changed?
You’re right @pjonason , release notes for 3.10 and 3.11 are missing and needs to be added. They contain some bugfix and in general snaps are rebuilt with the new versions for the dependencies from the archive, and they are usually updated with security patches.
However release notes come together with the new version, so in general if you want to first try/check what’s new then you should hold the upgrade Managing updates | Snapcraft documentation and only upgrade manually when you are ready
