Hi everyone,
I’m trying to establish a plan for regularly upgrading our MAAS environment (using deb packages). From what I’ve gathered, new stable MAAS versions tend to be tied to Ubuntu releases, both LTS and interim (like MAAS 3.5 with 22.04 and MAAS 3.6 with 24.04). Could someone point me to a document that outlines the MAAS release cycle and its relationship with Ubuntu releases.
Appreciate any help in this regard!
Hey!
In the last years we made releases based on the content rather than the time. Meaning, we wanted specific things in 3.5 and 3.6, so we created the releases when these things were ready.
We might align with the Ubuntu releases in the future, but not yet (at least for 3.7, as we aim to release it before 25.10).
Thanks @r00ta!
It seems the current strategy would be to proactively track MAAS release updates and plan upgrades based on our needs.
