MAAS subnet size & PXE Boot

Hi folks,

Dumb question:

I have tried a /24 subnet and PXE booting works okay. But I’ve tried flipping it to a /16 subnet and the PXE boot rom doesn’t get a DHCP IP address:

What obvious thing have I forgotten/Not Considered?

How come it says “Node must be connected to a network.” when on the previous /24 subnet it was automatically assigned?

If I manually change the network address to Auto Assign or DHCP it makes no difference at all.

And just to test I flicked it back to /24 and it booted first time… :cry:
