MAAS metrics

Hello all, Following the documents at https://maas.io/docs/how-to-set-up-maas-metrics I have a few questions

I have installed Rack+Region Maas install via snap ver 3.2.5 and am trying to figure out how the Metrics works, I have installed up to the MAAS controller telemetry (mind you the lxc launch ubuntu statement on the first line failed)
I tried to execute the command “maas $ADMIN maas set-config name=promtail_port value=5238” but there is an error with the env Varable $Admin and no set-config command ?

I know this is relativity new but I would like to see if this would work for our test env.

Hate to answer my own question, but it looks like you need to do a maas login first then you can do the set-config commands
