Recently I encounter the case which was raised last year, the problem was related to secure boot enabled machine deployment. When we setup some laptops connected with MAAS server, their commissioning were successful and they’re started by deploying standard 18.04 or 19.10. However, the first boot from local disk happened the following messages from shim:
EFI stub: UEFI Secure Boot is enabled.
Bootloader has not verified loaded image
System is compromised. halting
What I saw was very similar to bug described, and I’ve learnt that MAAS / shim should be resolved that. But now I think it may be a regression. I also commented my result in this bug.
I wonder if someone did such work and then deployment with secure boot is successful or not.
