MAAS 2.9 - minor but annoying DNS config problem

Hey all, is there any way I can help get the fix for https://bugs.launchpad.net/maas/+bug/1908087 included in an future update?

The bug was introduced (some time ago) by a change to the upstream defaults for bind, and the fix is just to restore the original behavior (which is appropriate for maas).

I should note that the symptom is that reverse DNS fails for any rfc1918 addresses (e.g. 192.168.x.x) that are not managed by maas.

Is there a different forum that would be better for this discussion?

Does anyone here know of a way to patch the maas DNS config in a way that will persist across a snap update?
