MAAS 2.8.0~rc5 (8551-g.d0d4cdf79) - Commissioning with Ubuntu 20.04 LTS fails to identify HP BMC

Dear Maas’ers,

We’ve been performing testing against MAAS 2.8 in preparation for our switch over from 2.7 and decided to test commissioning against 20.04LTS.

Using a ProLiant DL360 Gen9, we have found that only when using ubuntu 18.04 LTS does the commissioning correctly identify the iLO BMC.

Although this is not a blocker for us, as we are happy to commission against 18.04 we’d like to aide the team in resolving this issue and are happy to supply information as required.

@joolski, commissioning with 20.04 is possible but inadvisable just yet. we’ll post more when it’s sorted, but thanks for volunteering!
