Installation of candid without 'snap'

Hi,

I am trying to install candid for integration of Active Directory with ‘MAAS’ for AD authentication.
Can you please let us know is it possible to install candid without using ‘snap’ method. And if possible in which method/way can be install ‘candid’. Kindly suggest.

Hi, candid is available only as a snap

of course nothing is preventing you from taking the source code and run it as a standalone server , but you need the extra step of compiling it and running it
