Failed to build Rocky8 custom image using packer-maas

Hey there,
having a couple of issues with Packer-maas ( https://github.com/canonical/packer-maas )
On a vSphere VM It’s timing out and on my NUC is has stopped building images (appears to finish but the tar.gz is only 3.5KB?!).

Tracking things on a GitHub issue ( https://github.com/canonical/packer-maas/issues/180 ), but wondering if people here may have some idea of what’s going on as well…
