Empty mac address to the eth0 port in commisioned VM

On creating a new VM from MAAS in LXD host, MAAS is assigning no mac address to the default eth0 interface as shown below.

Since there is no mac-address for the port, VM is ending up in broken state.
How to trouble shoot this issue ?

MAAS Version: 3.3.4
