Can I increase the timeout value MAAS waits for the machine to boot up? HPE has managed to do the world’s slowest server to what comes to booting up, so MAAS fails deployment constantly. I’ve set it up to use redfish in the boot, but as the server takes over a minute to even get any video signal out to the console not to mention the other delays, MAAS has failed by the time it reaches any significant PXE boots. The timeout should be the default 30 minutes, but it claims a failure after aprox 3 minutes or so after I start the deployment.
As an ugly solution we’ve found out that we can manually start the server some 10 seconds before we hit deployment. That for some reason some times works. But for instance today I must have tried deployment some 20+ times with failures every time. I keep counting different amount of seconds before I hit deployment trying to find the golden time here.
Hi @tosaraja ,
can you show us the exact error message?
