Can we assign IP as hostIp which is in different subnet?

If DHCP contains subnet cidr where machine reside in that subnet range but at the time of OS provisioning, can we use different IP address which is in different subnet ?

Just to clarify, you want to know if:

  1. you can commission a machine into a subnet
  2. deploy the machine into a seperate subnet

If that’s the case, you should be able to yes

You can just change the fabric/subnet of the machine’s interface, but of course you have to setup your network topology accordingly. If you are new to networking you might want to play a bit with a simulator like https://www.gns3.com/
