📣 Call for community contributions: share your use cases and how you are using the MAAS API!

Hey community!

First of all, I’d like to thank you all for all the discourse posts and the time you take to fill bugs on Launchpad. This is bringing exceptional value to MAAS itself!

In order to better shape a new set of HTTP API we would like to collect use cases also from our community users. This is another chance for you to contribute to MAAS!

In particular, we would like to understand

  1. How are you using MAAS?
  2. Do you have feedbacks related to the existing HTTP API? Are you looking for some endpoints/responses that are not currently available?
  3. Did you have to implement some tweaks on top of the HTTP API to implement a specific use case? Can you share them?
  4. Did you build a layer on top of the MAAS API to expose some concept differently?
  5. Very important: Can you share how you are using the machine listing (aka the GET /api/2.0/machines/) and what are the information you are extracting from it? Can you share also here your use case?

Please note that the CLI, python-libmaas, maasgoclient and all the other clients are actually using the HTTP API. Please share your feedbacks also in case you are using these tools!
