When I set the power type to VMware in MAAS, the boot order doesn’t change to PXE. The on, off, and restart commands work correctly, but the PXE boot order is never set. What permissions are needed to make this work? Thank you.
Setting the boot order when using the VMware power type is not supported. You might try to add your VMs with the Add chassis feature which has a much better support for VMware and in that case all the discovered VMs should be changed to PXE boot
