Custom storage layout configuration examples

Hi @bedfordc ,
I have a problem similar to yours. Have you found a solution to this problem yet ?
Thanks

I’m facing some issues here, I am trying to setup 2 LV’s (e.g. one on sda and another on sdb), but it seems that MAAS doesn’t seem to like this

{
 "layout": {
  "rootvg": {
   "type": "lvm",
   "members": [
    "sda2"
   ],
   "volumes": [
    {
     "name": "rootlv",
     "size": "40G",
     "fs": "ext4"
    },
    {
     "name": "swaplv",
     "size": "4G",
     "fs": "swap"
    },
    {
     "name": "homelv",
     "size": "435G",
     "fs": "ext4"
    }
   ]
  },
  "datavg": {
   "type": "lvm",
   "members": [
    "sdb1"
   ],
   "volumes": [
    {
     "name": "datalv",
     "size": "1920G",
     "fs": "ext4"
    }
   ]
  },
  "sda": {
   "type": "disk",
   "ptable": "gpt",
   "boot": true,
   "partitions": [
    {
     "name": "sda1",
     "fs": "fat32",
     "size": "1G",
     "bootable": true
    },
    {
     "name": "sda2",
     "size": "479G"
    }
   ]
  },
  "sdb": {
   "type": "disk",
   "ptable": "gpt",
   "boot": false,
   "partitions": [
    {
     "name": "sdb1",
     "size": "1920G"
    }
   ]
  }
 },
 "mounts": {
  "/": {
   "device": "rootlv"
  },
  "/boot/efi": {
   "device": "sda1"
  },
  "/swap": {
   "device": "swaplv"
  },
  "/export/home": {
   "device": "homelv"
  },
  "/export/data": {
   "device": "datalv"
  }
 }
}

That’s what’s effectively generated by my code

And thanks a lot to @bedfordc

Hello,

So no one has faced this issue ? I tried to follow the documentation, but it’s not clear if 2 LVM’s are supported
Thanks
